The Ohiocester State University

You are students at The Ohiocester State University, the flagship university of the Ohiocester state-county of the United Kingdoms of Britmerica. It's not 'Ohiocester State University,' and definitely not 'University of Ohiocester State,' which is a completely separate school—and TOSU's main soccerball rival.

TOSU's main colors are yellow and red, and its mascot is an acorn. Accordingly, students at TOSU are affectionately called Acorns.

You have signed up to the Research & Recharge Programme that the TOSU administration has recently established in partnership with Camp Ohiocester, first beginning three years ago. The programme was specifically created to help students earn credits towards their degree and gain “valuable research experience.” Students of any subject can take part in the programme, as long as they can justify it to the college administration—although that's not a particularly hard thing to do.

School spirit is high and particularly around Britmerica's favorite sport, Soccerball. The school recruits Soccerball prospects out of Secondary High Schools from around the country and beyond, giving top players full scholarships. School spirit is especially high following the Acorns' victory in the Premier National Tournament last year.

TOSU puts a lot of emphasis in research experience for its students. Those who seek out academic experiences are able to find ample opportunities to apply themselves. At the same time, the school's size has given it a reputation for a vibrant party culture, attracting social butterflies from far beyond Ohiocester.

TOSU also boasts a diverse set of extracurricular opportunities, from club sports like “hockey” (played on a frozen field) to interest-based clubs like The Fallen Acorn (a literature magazine) and State Spirit (an amateur cheerleading squad). Perhaps the most talked-about club this summer is Yodel-Acorns, which won the Group Division of the Britmerican Yodeling Championships last month.
