Student Cabins

Student cabins is where your character will be staying and also will be a location during Uptimes & Sessions. Every cabin has sleeping quarters (where all campers sleep together in bunk beds), bathrooms, and a small living area with entertainment like books and board games.

“Good morning, everyone! Hello! Of course, not that- I mean- that is to say- I recognise the morning may be a happy one for some, but not… not all of you. It may be happy, in fact, I hope- or, I suppose you may not want- oh bother, oh bother, oh boy. We'll begin again. Good m-”

Sky-blue walls above, soft woollen rugs underfoot. Gentle watercolour paintings littered about the place, swathes of floral colour borne of endlessly forgiving hands. Pillows, cushions and blankets strewn around, inviting what will surely be a soft-spoken group of eager campers in for an evening catch-up or three with their counsellor, a meek and pastel gentleman by the name of Juniper.

“Happiness is not a destination, it's the friends you make along the way! Come on guys, turn that frown upside down!”

Cracks in the wall hastily covered up with posters of superheroes; the beds that are just a bit too small for adults, and a mural of a hedgehog brandishing a smile. This is what would greet you if you came across the Happy Hedgehog cabin.

The Camp counsellor of this cabin is Brook Davis—as expected she always has a smile on her face, ready to start the day with adventure and end it with sing-song. She can always be recognised by her cowboy hat and cheery voice. She even helpfully wrote her own poster for her hedgehogs, though some of it seems to be crossed out in red crayon and rewritten:

Hello Hedgehogs! Well done on being assigned the best cabin! I'm Brook and I'll be your camp counsellor camp supervisor camp counsellor?! The Happy Hedgehogs no.1 rule is to have fun! Now, some of you may not have been away from home before, but don't worry—everyone is here to help you! If you ever get lost, or don't know where to go then I'll be here to help!

“Put down the pen, and pick up a piano! Or, okay not a piano, probably something lighter, but you get the point.”

Just as dogs tend to look like their owners, this cabin looks just like its counsellor. Covered in mismatched tapestries and crochet blankets, and with upbeat music leaking from a speaker that has been lovingly duct taped to the wall, the Coyotes cabin is known for early mornings, late nights, and a whole lot of nothing-getting-done. The 'rules' of this cabin are really an excuse for Kit to show off their passable poetry.

CABIN RULES
- A haiku by Kit Everyst
Relax in peace, friend
Night stars shine over your sleep
Sun on your wide smile

Kit has only one real rule for eir cabin: this camp is for relaxation, first and foremost. Research comes second, and anyone caught doing any of that stuffy academic stuff under eir watch will be quickly told to report to the lakeside for some sunbathing. Stat.

“The wisdom of the wolf is in its loyalty: the pack is you, and you are the pack. Never forget this, and you will always succeed. Now let's show these wimps who the best dang cabin is at soccerball!”

The Wild Wolves cabin might be clean and precise—but it is not at all bland. In the common room are motivational posters and untouched books entitled 'The 4 and a Half Hour Work Week' and 'Nuclear Habits' neatly arranged in a small shelf at the corner of the cabin. Next to the books is a limited collection of board games—chess, dominoes, checkers, and an old copy of Duopoly. On top of one of the shelves is a plushie of a cartoonish wolf in a Scout's uniform.

Cyril Lupin Duarte has been the Wild Wolves cabin counsellor for almost a decade. He comes from a family that heavily admires the Britmerican Scouting Association (BSA), and it's evident in how he teaches kids. Admittedly, most kids are scared of her and her emphasis of discipline and hard work at first (the fact that she always wears her sunglasses doesn't help), but they warm up to her with time.

A list of 17 cabin rules are plastered on the door of the Wild Wolves cabin—though most of them are more or less suggestions…hold on, are some of these just taken from the book 'The Seven Habits of People With Really High Efficiency' ?
