The steady, unmistakable beep of a medical monitor echoes through the forest, tinny through the metal walls of its home—a forklift, repurposed into a tiny, portable vet's surgery. A wooden sign hangs over the windscreen, reading, 'Medicine For All Creatures.'

Inside, River is hard at work. You can tell by their uniform—casual jeans and t-shirt, plus a nurse's hat perched over their brow. BooBoo has a tiny version of the same hat.

The patient currently in the forklift-surgery is a familiar face to some Research and Recharge campers. Antlers and hooves are cramped in the small space, occasionally bumping against the metal walls and sending loud 'bangs' through the trees. The reinwolf is here for its monthly eczema cream application, to help with its terribly itchy back.

Justa is here, too. River's occasionally asked her to leave while they're at work to make space for the patients, but she's a cat of strong will, and would rather stay to observe. It was her who reminded them that today was the day for the reinwolf's treatment, in fact—it traced out the letters I T C H Y on the Yessi board (its on-the-nose nickname for the beleaguered creature).

Soon, the appointment's finished up, the reinwolf's galloped back into the woods, and River's driving the forklift back to its makeshift shed-garage-home in the forest. It's hard work, this cryptid vet thing, but they don't mind. It's worth it to see this forest flourish. One day soon, they hope to expand to other hotspots of magic, too, but for now, the camp has enough creatures in need of help for one forklift-certified vet.
